SERA policies, pricing, and support are handled by Simlin Group. These policies apply to the sera app, seragroup.net, and related services.
SERA is owned and operated by Simlin Group.
These terms govern use of SERA and describe important safety, acceptable-use, and liability rules.
SERA is guidance software and does not replace OEM manuals, training, or certified expertise.
Paid web plans, seat management, and recurring billing are covered further below in the billing and subscription terms on this page.

1. About the Service

SERA is a troubleshooting and service assistant for equipment. The app and related services offer chat-based guidance with a focus on safety and can show sources and disclaimers. The Service may integrate third-party AI providers and our curated knowledge library ("SERA's library") to improve answer quality.

Important safety notice: SERA does not replace OEM manuals, training, or certified expertise. Always follow local safety rules, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and manufacturer instructions. Use the Service at your own risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be:

  • At least 16 years old (or higher where local law requires it).
  • Authorized to enter into agreements.

Business users confirm that they use the Service within their employer or organization and follow internal policies.

3. Account and access

  • Individuals may create accounts or access services made available through the web app, mobile app, or other stated onboarding flows.
  • Business users may receive access through a workspace, enterprise arrangement, or other account setup approved by Simlin Group.

You are responsible for accurate, up-to-date information and for protecting login credentials.

4. Acceptable use (prohibited behavior)

You may not:

  • Bypass security features or overload the Service, including scraping or rate-limit bypass.
  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes, share harmful content, or infringe others' rights.
  • Attempt to recreate, decompile, or reverse engineer the Service, models, or library except where law cannot restrict it.

5. AI answers and SERA's library

When you ask a question, relevant content including selected brand, model, and year may be sent to our server or proxy. The server can:

  1. Search SERA's library.
  2. Forward the minimum necessary excerpts plus your question to a third-party AI provider.
  3. Compile the answer for you, often with source references.

We configure providers so data is not used for general model training where such controls exist. Logs may be retained briefly for security and abuse detection. See the Privacy Policy for more details.

6. Privacy and data

All personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. It forms part of these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The SERA app, website, graphics (including logos), and SERA's library are owned by Simlin Group or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service under these terms. Any other use requires written consent.

8. User content

If you upload text, images, logs, or other material, you grant us a global, non-exclusive license to process it only to deliver the Service, including troubleshooting, support, and security. You are responsible for having the rights to share the material and for ensuring it does not violate law or third-party rights.

9. Beta features

Features marked beta may be unfinished and can change or be removed without notice. Use beta features at your own risk.

10. Interruptions and changes

We may perform scheduled maintenance, update features, or change the Service. For major changes, we aim to provide reasonable notice.

11. Liability and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. To the extent law allows, we disclaim indirect damages such as production loss, consequential damages, and data loss. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the Service during the preceding 12 months, except where mandatory law provides greater protection.

12. Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory rights you have under applicable consumer law.

13. Termination and suspension

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, security or abuse risk, non-payment, or other serious misuse. For paid subscriptions, see the billing and subscription terms below.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we may inform you in the product or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

Swedish law applies unless mandatory consumer law states otherwise. Disputes are resolved by Swedish courts unless mandatory law requires a different forum.

Billing and Subscription Terms

Additional commercial terms for paid plans ordered through seragroup.net and related SERA billing flows.

1. Scope

These billing terms govern payment, renewal, seat quantities, cancellation, and billing support for paid plans offered through seragroup.net and related SERA billing flows. Some business arrangements may also be documented in a separate order form, invoice, or written agreement.

2. Plans and pricing

  • Current plan names, prices, features, and seat-based charges are shown on seragroup.net/pricing at the time you order.
  • Taxes, VAT, or similar charges are shown or calculated at checkout where required.
  • We may change pricing or plan packaging prospectively. Changes do not retroactively alter amounts already paid for completed billing periods.

3. Payment

  • Paid web subscriptions are processed through Stripe Checkout or another payment flow clearly identified at the time of purchase.
  • By starting a paid subscription, you authorize recurring monthly billing until the subscription is canceled.
  • Free plans do not require payment.

4. Renewal, seat changes, and account administration

  • Paid plans renew monthly unless canceled.
  • Where available, billing changes or seat updates may be handled through Stripe billing flows, workspace admin controls, or support.
  • Workspace administrators are responsible for managing seat allocations and keeping billing-related account information current.

5. Cancellation

  • Cancellation stops future renewals at the end of the current paid term unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
  • If you need help canceling, reducing seats, or resolving an account-access issue, contact Kristoffer@sera.chat.

6. Billing issues and refunds

Questions about invoices, charges, or suspected billing errors should be sent to Kristoffer@sera.chat. Any refund handling is subject to applicable law, the payment method used, and any separate written agreement.

7. Suspension

We may limit or suspend access for unpaid charges, unauthorized use, fraud risk, or other serious misuse. Where practical, we aim to provide notice first.

8. Changes to billing terms

We may update these billing terms from time to time. Material changes will be published here and may also be communicated through the product, checkout flow, or direct customer communication.
